Scam Text Messages — Traffic School Fines:

The court has received reports of individuals receiving text messages claiming they owe outstanding fines related to traffic school matters. If you have completed and paid for traffic school and received a certificate, you do not owe any additional fines. These messages appear to be fraudulent. Do not click any links or provide payment information. If you have questions about your case, please contact the court directly.

Probate

Probate court laws protect the interests of individuals involved in probate court matters. These include the administration of an estate after someone dies, and the protection of the rights of minors or mentally incapacitated individuals. The Probate Department of the court handles decedents' estates, trusts, guardianships of minors, and conservatorships of adults.

Family Court Services in Tulare County conducts all court appointed investigations for relative guardianships and all probate conservatorships.

Preparing and Filing Court Documents

All court forms and documents should be typed or printed using blue-black or black ink. Filing a petition with the Legal Filings Department starts the probate proceeding.
